Being Silly Before a Big Weekend
Drew and I sure are excited for the 4th of July! We woke up hyper and have been going non stop all morning. Don’t ask what we’re doing in this first picture…we’re just too silly!

It was HOT this weekend so we spent a lot of time in the backyard playing in our swimsuits and getting wet. One of the best parts was playing with the water balloons aunt tracy gave us for our birthday.
On Sunday I put my cape on without any prompting and ran all around the house and backyard. Drew’s right, these things do help us run faster! Plus, I sure am cute in this thing.
What’s our favorite thing to do at the park? Climb onto the wall and jump into the sandbox! We do it over and over and over. Here’s us with Lizzy.
Today mom and dad are celebrating 8 years of marriage:> Our gift to them…letting them go out to dinner tonight. We can survive a couple of hours with a babysitter:> Happy 8 years mom and dad!
You’d laugh too if your dad rolled down your window and let you put your hand out the window as he drove. (no surprise, Drew prefers his window rolled up)
Today was our last of gymnastics for this session. We decided to take a little break over the summer. But oh boy we sure did have a lot of fun and learned a lot of new things!
For father’s day dad told mom that he really wanted to go on a bike ride, so that’s what we did. Two key take-aways from today’s bike ride: 1. It’s a good thing it was father’s day or dad would be in trouble. 2. One day we’ll laugh about this.
Paige and I were in the bike trailer, so we’re not sure what the big deal is, but apparently riding bikes from the Embarcadero to Sausalito is a lot further and more hilly than dad made it out to be. Mom was a good sport and made it all that way on her beach cruiser, but I don’t think we’ll be doing it again any time too soon. The best part was the boat ride back to our car…we love boats!
Here’s me and Peter making faces at each other through the window. We crack ourselves up!
Peter is turning one and to celebrate he invited us to a bbq birthday bash at the park today. It was lots of fun. We played rocket balloons, stomp rockets, went on the slides, and of course had good food and cupcakes! Happy birthday, Peter!
Apparently this is “my parents are total stalkers when we’re trying to sleep” week in the our house. Here’s a picture of me sound asleep at night, which my parents say is funny because sometimes after they put me to bed at night, I turn my reading light on, get out of bed to pick out a book or magazine, and then read until I fall asleep. Here’s me earlier in the week, where clearly I was trying to read one of my magazines to bunny. Mom and dad think it’s hysterical when they find me this way late at night with my light on (they usually don’t notice until they turn all the lights out and see the light coming under my door).
4:45pm….I didn’t take a nap (Mom tried putting me down but I talked to myself for an hour) today and after a HUGE meltdown mom put me in my chair with books to look at while she made dinner. When she came to get me I was asleep…lets see how long mom leaves me here…I guess I do need to eat before going to bed tonight:>
Yesterday a band came to play for the kids in the ‘hood. It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning!
