Cousins

Probably the best part about going to Grandma and Grandpa’s house for holidays is that we get to play with our cousins. We have so much fun playing together! This morning we woke up the entire house by playing hide and seek! Se you guys soon!

November 2009

Drew and I had a joint birthday party yesterday. It totally rocked! We had it at a bouncy house party place, and all of our friends came to celebrate with us. There were so many pictures from the party that dad made a quick video (he thinks he’s Martin Scorsese or something…) – it includes almost all the kids who came, but some managed to escape without getting photographed…like Alex. Thanks to all our friends who came. And thanks to my mom for planning it!!!

A lot of exciting things happened at school today…

First: it was the first day I wore underwear to school without my mom being there as a helper. I am now doing both deeds in the toilet and keeping my underwear clean ALL day long:>

Second: it was SNOW DAY today. A big truck came to school today and brought us a lot of snow for us to play in. We got to wear our snow boots and mittens. It was SO much fun (mom didn’t get a pic because this was during the school day and she had gym class with Paige:<).

Third: my teacher sent home a progress report on all the things I am learning and have mastered so far in school. I did GREAT!
Here are some of the things I have mastered:

Recognize ALL letter sounds
Knows names of ALL the letters in random order
Knows ALL colors
Knows all shapes
Recognizes patterns
Can count to 29
Knows spatial relationships (in/out, on/off, etc..)
Matches numerals to the correct number of objects, counts in 1 to 1 correspondence
Great social/emotional/listening and verbal skills

Things I need to continue to work on are:

Participating in group discussions (you know me..I watch first and then participate:>)
Handling my scissors better
Know where my heel and wrist are
Count up to 100

Other than that I am doing great!!! What a BIG day!

My New Year’s Resolutions this year:

1. Talk in sentences

2. Eat more varieties of foods

3. Ride a scooter on my own

4. No longer have a pacifier at night

5. Be a good friend and sister

6. Stay healthy and happy

7. Have more patience

… in the window? Over the weekend at Grandma’s, my favorite thing to do was go to the window and watch the dogs. I love dogs!

Today dad and I headed to Grandma and Grandpa’s for an Easter celebration. Drew was too sick to come (more on that later), so just the two of us went. We had lots of fun, and even though I was my usual shy self, it was great to see my cousins and hunt for eggs.

On Friday we went to Grandma and Grandpa’s house to visit! We had a great time seeing everyone! Can you tell I’m good at making Grandma laugh?!

On Friday we went to a birthday celebration for my cousin Nicholas 3rd Birthday! Serafina taught me how to roll over the giant exercise ball from standing on a chair, and Nick got a ladder that we all took turns climbing after grandpa hung it in the front yard. We also had CAKE my favorite!!!!! Happy early birthday Nicholas!

Yesterday Drew and I went to visit our cousins Serafina and Nicholas at Downtown Disney. We ate at Rainforest cafe which is soooo fun! It’s decorated like a jungle with all kinds kinds of animals hanging from the ceiling, like monkeys and parrots and butterflies. Every 30 minutes it rains inside and thunder and lightning come. This totally scared Drew…he started to cry and wanted sit with Dad (you know Drew’s really scared when something distracts him from his french fries). What a scaredy cat! I wasn’t scared at all and any time there was thunder I would laugh and laugh! I was so tired by the end of the night that I didn’t even make it to the car without falling asleep.
