June 2006

I woke up a little before 5 AM this morning screaming and crying. When dad came in to get me I was so worked up I was shaking. Mom and dad think I either had a nightmare or just got scared for some reason. Dad rocked me for a while and then took me to bed with him and mom where I layed on dad for an hour and stared at mom. I didn’t fall back asleep (he did) but at least I calmed down.

By the end of the day I was tired. I had given mom a long day because I was so grouchy from lack of sleep so dad took me for a walk to the store. I fell asleep and was pretty much out for the night. Here’s a cell phone picture of me at the store.

On Sunday after the beach I was tired and laughing at anything!

I went to the drum circle in Venice with my dad and Nissa on Sunday. If you’ve never been you should go! A huge crowd forms on the beach every Sunday starting around four, and everyone plays their drums. I love it. I was really tired when we went this weekend, but dad let me walk around and talk to the people (one guy let me play his guitar) so then I got a burst of energy and ended up having a lot of fun. Mom says it’s ok if I go now, but in a few years I won’t be alowed to go because she doesn’t want me to be a hippie beach bum. Whatever.

My mom and dad celebrated their five year anniversary this weekend. They went to a hotel they have always wanted to stay at in Santa Barbara called Bacara. When they told me what they were going to do there (sit around in lounge chairs all day and do nothing…not to mention sleep in late) I said no way. Gram and Pap came to watch me so I didn’t have to go. We had so much fun! We went to the beach a lot, went swimming, went to the park and went on lots of walks. I was glad to see my parents again, but I sure did have fun with gram and pap.

Dan brought me a soccer ball from the World Cup in Germany! I still haven’t learned the no-hands rule but it’s already my favorite ball.

In honor of my dad today I thought I would write the top 10 reasons why I have the best dad.

1. He gets me every morning.
2. He takes me to the beach.
3. He plays chase with me.
4. He lets me eat bigger chunks of food than my mom lets me.
5. He plays rough house with me (when my mom isn’t looking)
6. He always knows when to capture my great moments (he takes most of the pics you see on this site)
7. He made this site just for me before I was even born.
8. He lets me play with the TV remote.
9. He loves me no matter what.
10. Last he is the best dad..because he is MY dad and I am very lucky!!!

I love you dad and thanks for being a great dad!

Today was Father’s Day and Mom and I worked hard all day to make sure I (no, I mean my dad) had fun today. First off, dad slept in. I don’t know what’s so fun about that, but he slept until 9. Then Mom made a HUGE breakfast and we all ate outside on the new patio furniture I got him for father’s day. Then I played with dad for a few hours, and then we went to the beach. It was hot today so the beach was packed! I didn’t care how many people were there, it was fun. I was all sandy after that so we went swimming in the pool as soon as we got home. Hmmm, what else? Well mom made a big dinner with dessert and now I need to go to bed. It was a great father’s day, and now I’m tired.

Mom and dad’s friends friends from Yahoo! gave them a birthday gift certificate for dinner out in Santa Monica. For some reason they said I couldn’t go, which meant I had to stay home. At first I was bummed, but then Nissa came over and I realized I would get to play with her. We had fun, and I even tricked her into coming into my room to get me out of bed when I should have been sleeping…rookie.

Dad took me to Venice Beach today. I wore myself out with all the digging and running around.
