I went to the park with mom and dad before dinner tonight. It was fun – they couldn’t keep up with me, I’m so fast!

I haven’t been sleeping well lately. My parents think it’s because dad was traveling last week, which threw off my regular schedule. On top of that I have a little cold so with everything going on I’m up at all hours! Today I woke up at 5:00 AM. Dad and I went to Starbucks and had breakfast there (I had pancakes and a banana, dad had coffee). Then we went to the beach. I hadn’t been for three weeks, so it was especially fun!

Dad came home a little early today and I got to see him before going to bed. He got home right as I was cleaning up for the night and took this picture:

In other news: I know my appointment this morning isn’t as exciting as finding out I am going to have a sister but I had one too:> The nurse first tried to weigh me on the big boy scale but i thought it was a trampoline and wouldn’t stand still on the scale so I had to go back to sitting on the baby scale (maybe next time). I weigh 24 pounds and am 31 inches tall. I am in the 25th percentile for both weight and height..I may be a shrimp now but I’ll catch up! The doctor said I was in perfect health and mom and dad were doing a good job. I did have to get two shots..I didn’t like being held down (my dad had to do it because my mom has to leave the room to cry in the hallway while I get my shots..then she saves me when it is all over). One good thing is I got a new book from the doctor!!

So two good check-ups today..I am healthy and looks like I have a healthy sister coming in February (17th).

Sorry I haven’t put a post up all week but I was visiting up north while my dad went on a business trip. I got to see both sides of the family and celebrated my great grandpa and grandma’s 65th wedding anniversary. My dad will put some pics up soon.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) is a BIG DAY!! I go to the doctors in the morning to have my 18th month check up (please NO SHOTS!!) and in the afternoon my mom goes in for her official ultrasound that will tell me if I am going to have a brother or a sister! Don’t worry I’ll let you know! So stay tuned…..

I went to Benjamin’s new house yesterday for a dinner party. It was a lot of fun, they have a big backyard, so we ran around like crazy. Even though he just moved there a few months ago, he’s so Orange County!

Dad took me through the car wash today. I’m not a big fan.

Mom got me some crayons to draw with. I am good at scribbling!!! Mom thinks it is a masterpiece every time:>
