Today mom and I met up with Lexi and her mom, Elisa. My mom and Lexi’s mom went to UCSB together and were roommates. Lexi just turned one and we had fun together. We like going to Pottery Barn Kids to play with the toys they have out! Then we went to lunch together and found we only have about a 30 minute attention span even when it involves french fries!

My mom left the room for a moment and noticed it was pretty quiet (how did she know I was up to no good) and came back in and found me in my closet standing on top of my music table turning the light switch on and off (I am obsessed with lights lately). I thought it was an easy way to get to the light switch….I guess it is not the safest (according to my mom).

On Saturday we celebrated my cousin Nicholas’ birthday. He will be 2 on December 15th! He had a lot of fun games..my favorite was the balls and balloons in the swimming pool. Nicholas got a lot of cool gifts. But because it had been the end of a long week of visiting with friends and family I was pooped by the end of the party and decided to rest my head on Aunt Colleen’s shoulder!

I had a great Thanksgiving! Most of the day I was at my Grandma and Grandpa Nelsons house so I got to see my cousins. We played a lot during the day and then came turkey time! This year I got to try all the goodies. I really liked my grandmas jello salad. I was trying to be a big boy and eat it myself but it dripped down my pants. Mom had to take them off to soak them…so I entertained everyone by playing Tom Cruise’s role in Risky Business ( a dress shirt, diaper and nothing else..just missing my dark shades). So I decided to jump on the trampolene. By the end of the night I was tuckered out and my grandma read me some stories. It was a great Thanksgiving…next year my sister will be here to celebrate with us (mom finally put some pics of her pregnant…there have been many requests to see her!) Only 10 more weeks till she comes!

Today I spent the day with mom and dad getting ready for Christmas and Santa! (I can now say Santa) First, I woke up at 4 AM and dad thought it was 6 because his clock is off by an hour and he went the wrong way when it read 5 AM,so he got me out of bed. Then we played and went for a walk and finally I took a nap later in the afternoon. Then came the real fun! I got to help mom set up the Christmas tree. We got a fake one this year because mom knows I’m just looking for trouble these days and a fake tree is much more manageable. Mom also bought me a cheesy snow globe that plays music – I love watching it and dancing. Finally, late in the night they took me to the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton to see the lights turned on the giant tree – it was fun even though I was tired. And I saw Santa!

More Thanksgiving pics and info to come, but for now I thought you would like this picture. Mom likes it!

Mom and Dad’s friends Pat and Mary came over for a visit today, which meant I got to hang out with Elizabeth. She’s 5 months old, so not yet old enough to run around with me…but she will be soon (the picture makes us look close to the same size, but that’s only because she’s closer to the camera). Mom held her, and I got mad! Dad says I’ll need to get used to it…not real sure what he means by that.

There aren’t as many leaves on the ground in LA as there are in Modesto/Turlock – man do I have fun playing in them!

This morning I went to the beach with Pap. It was fun to show him my favorite hang out. Next up: Grandpa’s stopping by just to see me! (he’s also picking dad up for the Cal-USC game) Go Bears!

This week I turned 20 months!!! I am no longer in my “teens” (at least not for 11 1/2 more years). I have accomplished a lot over the past 20 months and have so much more to look forward to. My new words of the month are:
“no-no”
“apple”
“Santa”
“Gobble Gobble”
“Turkey”
“horsey”
“lamp” (I like to say this one with a shout!)
“Scarecrow” (can you tell my mom has been teaching me my holiday words:>)
I can recognize in any word or sign I see the letters “R” and “O”.
I have some big teeth in the back coming in..as of now I have 10 teeth fully out. But mom can feel three more big ones coming in. (Not very fun for me or her..I get GRUMPY!!!)
I have been busy getting ready for my baby sister to arrive and I now give mommy’s tummy a kiss every morning to say “hi”. We have a little less then three months till she comes!
This weekend both sets of my grandparents are going to be in LA for the big CAL verses USC game. Only the big boys get to go (Pap, dad, Uncle Luis and Grandpa) but I will hang out with my mom and Gram. Then I head to Turlock/Modesto for Turkey Time! This year I actually get to eat turkey and all the fixings! I am excited to see everyone. So stay tuned and I am sure I’ll have a lot of pics from my Thanksgiving trip!
Here I am playing with my legos..one of my favorite things to do with my mom or dad.

(Yes, I am in my PJ’s..but I was about to go to bed:>)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
