PAIGE UPDATE:
Doctor Yee called today to say that all my blood work came back negative…I am not allergic to milk or the other items he tested me for (nuts, etc). Mom asked “now what” because I still throw up dairy products. So mom is going to meet with a nutritionist about what to offer me besides soy milk and then maybe try milk later. My stomach may not be ready for whole milk yet…we might have to come back to that later. So we are still figuring this all out…hopefully one day we will have a straight answer. I have been a drama queen since the day I was born and continue to be:>

For now I am going to focus on my 1st birthday party (oh yeah, Drew and I are having a combined one this year) which is this Saturday! Stay tuned for some pics of family and friends celebrating my 1st and Drews 3rd birthday!

Today I went to the doctor to see what is going on with me and milk. The doctor decided first to do some tests before he decides if I am allergic or intolerant of milk. So that meant blood tests! Oh man…..I knew that I would not like this and let them know. Mom had to hold me in her lap bear hugging me with one arm down. Another doctor had to hold my other arm out and down and another drew blood. I was SCREAMING and fighting with all my might (and of course mom was crying). It was the end of the world to me. But it is over now and in a couple of days I will find out if I am allergic to milk (and some other things the doctor wanted to test…nuts, etc).
If so mom will then meet with a nutritionist and talk about what I can and can not eat. For now I can try soy milk.
I’ll keep you updated…no one can hold this girl down:>

Since I turned one, the doctor told mom and dad that I could start drinking whole milk. Well mom tried to give me some about a week ago and I threw it all up. The doctor told mom wait a couple days till I am back to normal Paige and try a little yogurt and then see what I do. Mom waited till this weekend so she would have dad around just in case I got sick again.

Today I tried yogurt and 3 hours later I was throwing it up. I was so tired after I got it all out of my body I passed out in my moms arms (if you know me I am not a cuddler, I like to sleep on my own). Mom and dad are worried about my upset tummys with milk…I go back to the doctor on Tuesday and mom is hoping she gets some answers and so do I! Mom would love to hear from you if you have a similar story or advice…it helps to hear others stories to see if it might help me out and my milk (or soon to be soy) situation!

On Saturday night we decided to head out for pizza and a little driving! We met our friends Pat, Mary and Lizzy at the pizza parlor. I watched Drew and Lizzy drive these cars all night and then all by myself I climbed up the game chair and started driving just like them…I may be little but I can do things like them too:>

On Saturday day morning Aunt Colleen and Neil came over to make breakfast with us…french toast!!!! I couldn’t wait for them to come over..I asked probably every 5 minutes if she was here yet. I had a great time playing and cooking with Aunt Colleen and Neil (so did Paige). Thanks for coming over and cooking up a yummy breakfast!

I have to give mom credit she has been very busy with a lot of new transitions with Paige (giving up the bottle for a sippy cup, no more pacifier, starting to drink whole milk-which she threw up last week, and trying new table foods-all which Paige does not want to do!!!) And she has been very tentative to buying new sizes for Paige in clothing and shoes because she is growing all the time…..but I have gotten lost in all of that:) and of course Paige also needed a new pair:> Mom promised to keep checking on my shoes size, she felt so bad!:> Luckily I have been the same size in clothes so she hasn’t slacked there (but she got me a special b-day party outfit for next weekend-I think she felt really bad:>) Thanks mom for the new shoes and yes a new hat (for when the sun decides to come back out:)

Today Drew and I met Lizzy at the Discovery Science Center. As usual, our favorite part was playing in the water. I especially LOVE playing in the water – even though I was the littlest one in the entire place, I hung right in there and played with the big kids. I love the water!

On a whim, mom and dad decided we needed a vacation so we packed our bags for a weekend at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay. Ok, so maybe we just went for a walk in the area today, but we can dream, right?! It was pretty cold, but we had fun. I even got to walk down to the beach with dad while Paige ate her bottle. We also got to look at a waterfall from a bridge, and eat a snack in the lounge chairs at the hotel. What fun!
