April 2009

Today I had my hop-a-thon at school to raise money for kids with MD to go to camp this summer. We were timed for 2 minutes to see how many hops we could do. I hopped 123 times in 2 minutes!!!!! Wow…thank goodness my sponsors did flat donations or they would be flat broke:>
I raised $130!!! Thank you to everyone who donated!!!!!

It had been awhile since the last time we were at the Discovery Science Center…we had a great time! Especially Paige! She kept saying “play, play” and I just ran from thing to thing. Mom had a hard time keeping up with the both of us and keeping us together. We had a great day!

I have been doing great especially during the day…the only thing I have not been doing is napping the past three days. Mom is hoping those come back! Also this morning mom thought we would have to start all over because I found a pacifier under her bed. Mom had to chase me, pry it out of my hands and this time it went in the trash. After a small meltdown I was tempted by a juice box and all was better. I guess I just have to work on napping again and life will be great!
PS. After swim lessons today we went to the Discovery Science Center…mom will post pics tonight:>

Here I am with my kitty….this little guy replaced my paci’s and helped me sleep thru the night. If you are wondering about my outfit…yes, I have to pick out all my clothes and hair accessories. Going for the 80’s look today:>

I slept the entire night without a paci and woke up once for 5 minutes! I hit the pillow at 7pm slept till 3:30am, up for 5 minutes and back to sleep till 7:30am without a peep!!! Mom and dad are SO proud! I also didn’t attempt to climb out of the crib again! Hopefully today I will take a nap:> Cupcake party on Friday here I come!!!!

We hope you have a special day!!! Wishing you lots of birthday love!

Well I didn’t take a nap…I actually cried for about 10 minutes then talked for a long time…mom thought I would talk myself to sleep but then heard a toliet flushing sound. It came from my playhouse which is on the other side of my room. Yes, that is right I decided to climb out of my crib!!!! Mom and dad will see what I do tonight (along with having no paci) but they may need to order me a big girl bed too!!! Good times!!!

Day 1 of no pacifier! This morning I woke up, collected all my paci’s and put them in an envelope to send to Pap. Mom told me that Pap knew of some babies who might need them. I was very helpful in addressing and putting the stamps on. I even put all of my paci’s in the envelope. Then I got to slip it in the mailbox. All morning I have been asking where they are but then I answer “pap”. After gym class mom took me to my favorite toy store to pick out a “kitty” to sleep with now that I won’t have my paci’s. So we’ll see how nap and nighttime go but so far so good…only one meltdown today…but mom has kept me very busy so I won’t think about them:> Big day! We’ll keep you updated!!!

So mom and dad have finally decided it is time to TOTALLY get rid of the pacifier….I had been doing good where I would only have it during nap and nighttime but months ago I got sick and wanted it all day long and still continue to want it all day. So tomorrow morning mom is collecting all my pacifiers and we will throw them away (or “give” them to a baby friend who might need them). Mom is prepared for a rough week especially during nap and nighttime but hopes by Friday all will be well:> I get to make a chart and put stickers up all week long for being a big girl with no pacifier and by Friday mom hopes she can have a cupcake party with all my friends to celebrate NO MORE PACIFIERS for me!!! Mom will keep you updated throughout the week with how it is going…wish us luck!!!!!

Aunt Colleen and Neil came over for dinner to celebrate dad’s birthday earlier this week…boy was I excited to see them! I even gave Colleen a hug when she got here!
